belief becomes before

requires as it precludes

some marks are made by knives, some by lights

we find  the bounds of our shape

                                                       as we lose  it

a broken circle is a one way trip to rainbows

like you can

there is no nothing

in the nothing of a still morning

sometimes the stillness of sadness

is the beauty of a nearness new and lost

some things are only what they are together

and measure it                             

by a portion of our bodies

as it once was

as if to say everyone is like everyone

and achievement then is real 

and the standard for truth can be found in a hand

as if we could shake on it
